NO BUSINESS LIKE CAMP BUSINESS

There's no business, like camp business
Like no business I know
Everything about it is appealing,
Everything that Carl Mack will allow.
No where can you get that happy feeling
Than when you're stealing that big How-How

There's no people like camp people
They smile when they are low.
To get up in the morning is our greatest feat.
We do our duty without a peep,
And then we go to the coffee shop instead of sleep.
Let's go on with the camp.

BE KIND TO YOUR J.C. STAFF

Be kind to your J. C. Staff, for they do all the work on the campus
Be kind to your J. C. Staff, for they're always full of cheer
Well you may think that this is the end
Well it is!

WHEN I GROW TOO OLD TO DREAM

When I grow too old to dream, I'll have Big Feet to remember
When I grow too old to dream, Big Feet will live in my heart
So remember Big Feet, and so let us part
And when I grow too old to dream, Big Feet will live in my heart

NO MAN IS AN ISLAND

No man is an island,
No man stands alone,
Each man's joy is joy to me,
Each man's grief is my own.
We need one another,
So I will defend.
Each man as my brother,
Each man as my friend.

No man is an island, way out in the blue
We all look to one above,
Who our strength will renew.
When I help my brother,
Then I know that I,
Plant new seeds of friendship
That will never die.

PEACE

Peace, I ask of Thee, Oh Father,
Peace, Peace, Peace
When I learn to live serenely,
Cares will cease.
From the hills I gather courage,
Visions of the day to be.
Strength to lead and faith to follow,
All are given unto Thee.
Peace I ask of Thee, Oh, Father,
Peace, Peace, Peace.

AULD LANG SYNE

Should auld acquaintance be forgot
And never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot
And days of auld lang syne?
For auld lang syne, my dear
For auld lang syne
We'll take a cup o' kindness yet
For auld lang syne.

ON YOU HUSTLERS

On you Hustlers, on you Hustlers
On to Big Foot tribe
First the pots, and then the pans
And then the floors will shine, keep shining
Do your work and get promoted, on to Big Foot tribe
On you Hustlers, on until your Seniors all.

ARISE

Rise, arise, arise
Repeat (echo)
Wake ye arise
Life is calling thee
Wake ye arise
Ever watchful be
For the life God
He is calling thee
For the life God
He is greeting thee

All arise, arise, arise
Repeat (echo)
Mightily sun God
Give thy light to us
Let it guide us
Let it aid us
Speak arise
See it rise

How the heart glows
While the soul delights
Is the music
Of the sun God
Watch it rise
Watch it rise (echo)

Wake ye arise
Life is calling thee
Wake ye arise
Ever watchful be
For the Life God
He is calling thee
For the Life God
He is greeting thee

All arise, arise, arise

THE SUMMER IS OVER

The summer is over
We all have to go
Won't you let us stay here
No, Counselors, No

There's no heating system
Or air-conditioning
We will miss you Dave and Judy
And the bell that you ring

We'll miss the morning bugle
And of course, the Chinese Toast
But Carl Mack, dear Carl Mack
We'll miss you the most

The kitchen is deserted
No one for miles around
Except for dear Ken Brookman
Whose loyalties about

The council circle's empty
And Vesper Knoll is bare
But in our fondest daydreams
We all will be there

We've given and we've taken
Just as Freddie said
But the Golden Rule at Lightfoot
Will never be dead

We've all had our troubles
But we all saw them through
And remember Shawn and the J.C.'s
That we love you too.

The summer is over
The heart of '74
But with all these fond memories
It will last forever more.

THE GREAT SPIRIT

The Great Spirit with His own hand
Painted the mesas painted the sand
The mountains rose at His command
And He called it his own land
(Repeat)

Then He made the wind and it did blow
The highest peaks he covered with snow
And the sun shone down on His country so
That He called it His own land
And He called it His own land

When the day is dawning and the night is falling
You can hear Him calling once again

Then He made a people strong and free
He made them straight as a cedar tree
And He said that every single one shall be
The children of His land
(Repeat)
Then said the Great Spirit, "Listen to Me!"
My brave warriors you shall be
A voice that thunders from sea to sea
Till the whole world is My land
(Repeat)

There were many tribes in this country of Mackinack. They were always at war. There came a time when all decided to listen to a wisdom greater than their own, so they left their weapons on the mainland and came to this island where the Great Spirit Waconda spoke to them saying, "Go to all lands across the seas where there is heartache and war, where men are broken in mind and spirit, and bring them to My teepee on this island of the inland sea, where they will find healing for the whole world."

And He called it His own land.

IN HINTON

In Hinton, where we did the town,
We almost tore the Mess Hall down.
We will have these moments to remember.

The quiet walks, the daily fun,
The dishes we broke one by one.
We will have these moments to remember.

When summer turns to winter,
And the Twilight disappears.
The laughter we were glad to share,
Will echo through the years.

Another night another day,
You'll find those J.C.'s
Gone their way.
We will have these moments to remember.

Hum first verse
Then sing:

We will have these moments to remember.
